Parallels is some of the best, most well thought out software I've ever owned. Thank you. In that context, there is a minor issue that I hope someone can help solve. I've set up Parallels exclusively to run one or two Windows programs on a Mac as if they were native, meaning I don't want or need to see any evidence of Windows behind the scenes. I've put an icon for the programs I want into the Mac dock (and Parallels has helpfully put the two red parallel lines on it so I know it's really the Windows version). So far so good. In order to be able to run the Windows program without the startup overhead of Parallels and Windows I need to keep Parallels and Windows running, which isn't a problem. But there are icons for Parallels and for Windows in the Mac dock all the time. Question: Can I get rid of the Parallels and Windows icons in the dock while those programs are running? I can always get to Parallels and Windows from the Parallels icon in the menu bar at the top of the Mac screen, so I don't need those extra icons in the dock. None of the Mac options for what to do with icons in the dock seem to do what I want.
