I want to upgrade from Mojave to Catalina, but need to run iPhoto. I had hoped that creating a Mojave VM would allow mme to do this, but when I click on a photo or try to edit a photo, I get a black screen. The thumbnails show up fine. Any ideas?

Hello, what is your Parallels Desktop version? Did you create Mojave Guest VM?

I just purchased the most recent version of Parallels Desktop for MAC. I created a new Mojave VM.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem. I have also tested Yosemite, with the same issue. Thanks for any help.

I have this exact problem as well. Just purchased Parallels Desktop for Mac so I can run iPhoto, QuickTime 7 Pro, and other 32 bit apps on Catalina. Each time I try to open a photo in iPhoto or Photos on my Yosemite VM, I get a blank image even though the thumbnails appear correctly, and my libraries are not corrupted. This is November 11, 2023, so I guess the problems mentioned above have never been resolved.
