I am on a 15 inch MacBook Pro. My initial experience with Parallels was good. I ran Windows XP. I even upgraded to 2 gigs of RAM. I upgraded to the new Parallels. Everything worked well.

For some reason I can no longer access the Parallels window. When I start it up it seems like it is booting up and Windows opens but the hard drive keeps accessing someting and everything slows down. I waited for thirty minutes with lots of thrashing going on but no access to the Parallels window.

Can anyone give me some direction?

Find your .hdd file, back it up, and then re-install Parallels.

Many thanks. The problem must have been with what I had open on the Mac OS when I started Parallels because when I started up this morning, Parallels worked just fine. Thanks for your help.
