Has anyone else seen this problem before? It happened at least in Parallels 7, and continues in Parallels 8.

If I mount a Parallels VM using Parallels Mounter (instead of starting the VM), the modification date of ALL files (but not directories) is changed to the currrent time. This happens for any directory that is opened.

On the other hand, if I start the VM with Parallels, and use the shared mount it creates, the problem doesn't occur.

I spent half an hour on the phone with a Parallels support technician who obviously was a level-1 (not very skilled) we somehow became disconnected.

I have attached a screenshot as an example.

FYI - I have been able to reproduce this problem on a completely fresh install of OS X 10.8.2 and Parallels 8
