Hi. I have a question regarding Parallels on Mac OS X and firewalls.
Running VM Windows 7 with Symantecs Norton 360 and on Mac OS X host protected by Norton Internet Security for Mac.
Aside from warning and requesting internet access for Parallels Desktop.app as a whole, the Norton Firewall on Mac host will give no further information regarding Parallels VM connections and open ports.
That I find a bit scary, because it shows that Nortons firewall for Mac is not aware of all network traffic going on.
Could it be, that I would be better off, using the built in firewall of OS X instead of Norton ?
I can trust Parallels Desktop app, but I'm concerned that other apps on Mac OS X could easily hide beneath Nortons firewall.
This is probably primarily for the Norton folks, but I would much appreciate insight from Parallels experts here.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
If you are using Shared Networking, then Norton (or any other firewall) sees VM's network activity.

    For bridged it is not.
