Hey Guys = I've been running Mac Desktop 6 for months with 1 Win 7 virtual machine. No probs at all until last week. My Win 7 VM runs Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2000 R2. Or it did until VS refused to load after months of fault free operation. So, I tried reinstalling VS 2008 (need this for BIDS) and SQL and both failed halfway through. SQL throws Error 1310 saying it can't write Webdav.DLL (or similar) to the disk. I tried solving this for a day or so and no joy, so I installed a brand new Win 7 VM last night. . And when I run the SQL install on the new VM I get exactly the same error. So both the old VM and new VM are now refusing to install SQL Server and VS Studio. (Note however, a backup of the original Win7 VM booted ok this morning and ran its copy of SQL and VS Studio 2008 no problem...) BTW, Chrome and Office Pro 2010 installs without a hitch on both the new and old VMs. Strange. I guess it could be a corrupt SQL install binary, but not sure that explains why CS 2008 won't install either - I am assuming therefore that something is interfering on the host. Nothing has changed in terms of the Mac config (2011 27" iMac) apart from a couple of OSX updates (not yet on Lion) and a Parallels update. Current versions are: Parallels Desktop: 6.0.12106 OSX: 10.6.8 I'm going to download a new SQL 2008 Binary just in case, but I doubt it is this somehow. Wondering if you guys have stumbled across this before? Thanks in advance. Chris W, London.
