    Hi,
I though it would be useful to give an update on Maya rendering speed using Parallels RC2.
Rendering speed overall improved, but as of now it's not yet at Beta4 level, expecially using mentalray.
    Here the numbers:

Maya scene 1 with software Render.
    - Parallels Beta 4 68 sec. (tested mid April)XP-SP2
    - Parallels Beta 5 83 sec. (tested Mid May) XP-SP2
    - Parallels Beta 6 83 sec. (tested Mid May) XP-SP2
    - Parallels RC1 93 sec. (tested Mid May) XP-SP2
    - Parallels RC2 72 sec. (tested today) XP-SP2
    - Maya WinXP (Bootcamp) 42 sec. (tested mid April) XP-SP2
    - Maya OSX Rosetta 171 sec. (tested Mid May)

Maya scene 2 with mentalray Render.
    - Parallels Beta 4 123 sec. (tested mid April)XP-SP2
    - Parallels Beta 5 165 sec. (tested Mid May) XP-SP2
    - Parallels Beta 6 165 sec. (tested Mid May) XP-SP2
    - Parallels RC1 190 sec. (tested Mid May) XP-SP2
    - Parallels RC2 148 sec. (tested today) XP-SP2
    - Maya WinXP (Bootcamp) 69 sec. (tested mid April)XP-SP2
    - Maya OSX Rosetta 325 sec. (tested Mid May) XP-SP2

So thank you for listening Parallels folks.
It is beautiful to have such a promt reply from a company.
mmmm .. maybe you can squeeze even more speed .... :) ......
    or ...
.. fit dual processor awareness within one image .....
