Parallels says I have to reinstall Tools even though it said latest update worked?

    Hi,

I'm having an issue with parallels tools and kaspersky antivirus that came with parallels desktop 6 for mac. I do know that parallels says I have the latest version. I believe I have to install parallels tools before kaspersky, but I'm not sure. Recently I uninstalled kaspersky from windows 7 because it considerably slowed virtual machine down and it kept thinking there were viruses on the system even though windows 7 was clean. I find it ridiculous that I can't even have something like security essentials running alongside kaspersky, because it absolutely insisted I remove any other antivirus software.

So I looked up the problem, and I think it had something to do with parallels tools not installed properly. I think I've tried to reinstall at one point, but I don't remember if it worked. Now all I know is every time I click 'reinstall parallels tools', it starts to update, but not reinstall. It says that the update was successful, and it restarts, but I still get 'reinstall parallels tools' every time I check in the virtual machine tab to see if it actually did install something successfully. This tells me there might be something seriously wrong with virtual machine. I'm afraid to reinstall kaspersky as it will probably do the exact same thing as before. I'm thinking I should completely uninstall tools and reinstall again, but I may have tried that before. Is anybody familiar with this problem? Does anybody have any suggestions?

    Thanks,
