    Hi,

I tried to install Parallels Tools on my Linux, but it can't finishe the installation:

    localhost cdrom # sh parallels-tools.run
    Verifying archive integrity... All good.
    Uncompressing Parallels Tools for Linux................................................................................
    Found xorg version 7.2.0
    Found xserver: xorg-7.2
    Unable to get layout name

After this, the X-Server can't start any more, because /etc/X11/xorg.conf has allready be changed by Parallels Tools, and of course the X-Server can't find the prlvideo driver.
    • What is the meaning of this error message?
    • Has anybod any idea how to install Parallels Tools?
    • @Parallels: Please change config files after an installation had been succesful! So I had to figure out, why the X-Server isn't starting any more and to recopy my old xorg.conf :-(
    Thanx a lot,
    Oli

    3. type "X -version" (without quotes) and paste the output here.

    Thank you.
