I just upgraded Parallels Desktop for Mac to build 6.0.11994. We have one virtual machine running Windows 7. Whenever I restart now the Parallels Tools Setup Wizard starts. At a point in the install when the status reads "Removing applications" a dialogue pops up that reads: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resources that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'parallels-tools-i386.msi' in the box below. Use source: C:\Windows\Temp\PrlUnatt\Data\i386\" When I try to browse to that location on the hard drive, it does not exist. When I search the hard drive for, "parallels-tools-i386.msi" it doesn't find anything. I'm assuming that, based on the status message, there is a problem trying to uninstall the old version of Parallels Tools. When I try to manually uninstall Parallels Tools using the Control Panel, I receive the same dialogue box as above. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to force the old version of Tools to uninstall? Is there a better solution that I'm unaware of?
Hi, Please submit a request to Parallels Support, we'll fix it: http://www.parallels.com/support/request/
