Parallels VM Disk access spikes

What could cause a Windows VM Disk access to spike? See attached screen shot. Even with no applications running, it still spikes. No malware or viruses found. If I click on the Processes tab no Dick processes are taking up more than 1%. At the same time, my MacBook runs fine.
