    Hi,

can somebody tell me, if I can delete one of these two files? Or do I need to keep both of them to run Windows under Parallels? I would like to save some space on my MacBook ...

    Thank you!

Hello TomasU, Kindly right click on the Windows 10 .pvm --> Show package contents and do you see the same Windows 7-0 .hdd? please send us the screen shot of that page so we can check and help you further.

  4. Take a backup of the '.hds' file in an external hard disk. Then remove the file from the Mac hard disk and check whether the virtual machine is working fine and you have all your programs and data files. If it works fine, then you can delete the '.hds' file. Else, you need to restore the file to the same location because some of the virtual machine files might be located in the '.hds' file and you need both '.hds' and '.pvm' file to start the virtual machine.
