I recently installed windows 7 on my MacBook. It seemed to be running fine except now it won't let me start the machine. When I open parallels 4 and click the windows 7 VM all the controls are greyed out. It won't let me start it or anything and I have no idea what happened. Any help is appreciated thanks.
Hello Mar, In regards to the issue please create a new virtual machine using the existing image file. Creating New Virtual Machine 1. Click on File > New Virtual Machine. 2. go with the online screen. 3. When you get a screen Virtual Memory type select Custom. 4. Go with the online screen. 5. When you get Hard Disk Option select Existing Image File. 6. Choose the HDD file and go with the online instruction. Please refer to this link in this regard: http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v4/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/ But make sure that you are creating a new virtual machine using the "Existing Image File".
