FIXED: Paralles 9, Mavricks, Ubuntu 13.04 updated, not black screen with Unity bar

Hi All,

I am brand new to Parallels so forgive any ignorance on my part.

I just installed Paralles 9 on my MacBook Pro 15" with retina. I installed Ubuntu 13.04 from the Paralles option.

All was grand.

Ran the ubuntu updates and rebooted, now my ubuntu desktop is black though the Unity bar appears as normal on the left side.

Any ideas on how I can solve this?

UPDATE: I followed EricLee's advice from http://forum.parallels.com/showthre...ish)-installation-screen-is-black-except-dock and reinstalled Parallels tools with a blind guess as to when to input my password. It worked and I am back up and running !!!!
