Hi, I recently purchased a brand new MBP with the new Santa Rosa chipset. 4 GB Ram, 2.4 17in, etc. Once I installed Parallels 4560 it causes my MBP to have extended reboot times (os X) even extending over 5 minutes. I chopped the startup items folder for parallels and this fixed the slow reboot time, but parallels does not run. I have tried creating new VM's, reinstalled Parallels multiple times, even did a scratch load on Os X and once I installed parallels came up with the same result. I've tried clearing the P-Ram, repairing permissions, etc and still the only thing that has worked so far is killing parallels. I called the parallels customer support and the best that they were able to give me was ask for my logs and the startup item files to pass on to their developers. The problem however is that I need to deploy this Mac very soon for our content acquisition department so they can take an extended trip. Anyone else experiencing this issue or have a suggested solution? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Not sure - only other build I tried was build 3188. Interesting thing was that the problem went away when I moved the parallels files from the original admin account to a new account
