Since I updated to P6 and Office 2010 (under XP SP2), paths to shared folders have not worked cleanly from within Office 2010. I do not use coherent mode: I maintain the virtual spaces independent of each other, one monitor for Windows, one for OSX (10.6.8). I have only one shared folder (VPCshare) set up for file sharing under Parallels; it shows up in Parallels sharing/devices. A shortcut to it from the windows desktop works as expected, in fact it works as expected except in Office 2010. Launching an Office 2010 file on VPCshare works, but attempting to save to it from the application bumps to the desktop and I have to filter through either My Computer or My Network Places or Desktop to get back to it. Under My Network Places the share shows up 4 times, as .psfVPC Share on .psf .psfvpc share on EntireNetwork VPC Share on .psf VPC Share on psf Also, Home on .psf shows up, but home isn't supposed to be mapped to the Windows environment. I suspect this is just a mapping or configuration issue I couldn't figure out. After 8 months of work-around, I'm ready to fix it. So: What path name do I put into Office to get it to automatically save to a shared folder? What is amiss in the VM configuration that produces 4 paths to the same folder? Why does Home on .psf show up on in My Network Places when I did not intend it to be shared? Any advice is appreciated!
