I've just purchased a Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth headset. One of the first items in the documentation says to update the headsets firmware. To do this you navigate to the plantronics website and download updater software. Step 2 is to connect the headset via usb cable so that the system will detect it. That is where everything stops. Plantronics software never detects the headset. What worries me is that when I plug in the usb cable with headset attached parallels doesn't ask me which operating system should I connect the usb device to. Neither OS Mac X 10.8.3 or Windows Vista seems to see the device. I've got a email into Plantronics support for suggestions from them. Being in support myself, I'm sure they are going to say that I need to check with Parallels. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Paul
I think I know what the problem is Hi Paul, I am having the same problem, the issue apparently comes from the cable supplied, it is able to charge but it cannot transfer data ( I will be contacting the support at plantronic to see if they can replace the cable, otherwise I will have to return it back as it does not work well with Iphone 5 without the firmware update.
forgot to mention I also tried it with 3 other computers with 3 different OS's Winxp, win 7, win 8. The computers were from HP, Toshiba and Acer. Made in 3 different years. I also used 3 different internet connections. I guess no one can beat this combination . On different forums people agree 100% that the problem was solved by changing the cable (not from another voyager unit)
