    Hello,
I am hoping that I am missing something, as I spent hours trying to do the following.
I want to set up a peer to peer network between the Mac OSX 10.6 and Windows XP running under Parallels Desktop (I think version 5).
I have a home wireless network and originally had the network connection in Parallels set to Bridge using my wireless adapter, which worked fine for getting on the internet both from Mac and Windows. However, what I really want is just a network connection between the Mac itself and Windows. I don't think I can just do the Host option because I need to do more than just sharing files. I need to be able to have the Windows side have one IP address and the Mac another, but on the same network. This is due to an application I am using called Vienna Ensemble Pro where you can connect to the software on another computer using a gigabit ethernet connection.
I really can't figure it out, so any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Hi, if you are using bridged networking and VM works in this mode, then you should be able to communicate both ways. Try for example to start on Mac OS /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app and type "ifconfig". Remember the IP-address on your network card (likely it is on en1). The in VM start cmd.exe and "ping x.x.x.x", where x.x.x.x is this IP.
