Hello, Was hoping someone here will be able to help with my issue. Here's the breakdown. 1) I have a corporate provided ISO of Windows 7 and it's 32 bit only (no option to get it in 64 bit) 2) it's been packaged in a way that it expects to be installed on a bootcamp partition so when i try to install it as a virtual instance in parallels it errors out on me stating that there is no valid partition available 3) i'm trying to install it on a rMBP 13" late 2013 model which is running Mavericks and only supports 64 bit versions of windows 7 4) running Bootcamp 5 obviously which doesn't support windows 7 32 bit 5) running Parallels 9 So my question is this. Is there a way to trick the Windows 7 install to think that the Parallels virtual machine is actually a bootcamp partition? Any other suggestions on how I might be able to get this image running on my new mac. BTW, I also have a MBP 15" mid 2009 running Mountain Lion which I was thinking I could potentially do the following: 1) downgrade to bootcamp 4 (not sure if this is even possible) 2) create a bootable USB with WIN7 32 bit on it 3) use some hacks i've seen posted to get bootcamp 4 to install from a bootable USB (my internal optical drive is shot and don't have an external) 4) install WIN7 32 bit using bootcamp 4 on a partition on my MBP 15" mid 2009 5) use parallels transporter to capture this image 6) install the image captured with transporter from my MBP 15" mid 2009 and install it as a virtual image in parallels on my rMBP 13" late 2013 This would of course be a lot of work which I would like to avoid especially because I'm not sure if it will even work. Again any tips/hints or better ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
