Has anyone noticed a performance degradation when using 12.0 and Sierra, when Sierra has been configured to use "storage optimization"? I have Parallels and Sierra installed on a MacBook Pro and Mac Mini, I enabled "storage optimization" on the MacBook but not the Mini. I have identical Ubuntu VM's running in Parallels, the performance issue I am seeing is when I am building linux images on SDCards (so some significant disk access is occurring) in the Ubuntu environment. Previously with Parallels 11 & El Capitan, the process of building the image on a SDCard took about 7 minutes, fairly reasonable. Now the with the updates in place, the MacBook takes 30 minutes to build the SDCard, but on the Mini is still around 7 minutes to build. I am assuming this performance hit is due to the VMs on my MacBook being located within my Documents folder which is now being shared on iCloud and that I had the VMs in the Parallels folder in Documents. My plan at the moment is to move the VMs to another location that is not on iCloud on my host.
