I've just installed the latest update hoping the performance would improve but it doesn't I'm running windows xp home with 412 Mb allocated - the max. recommended and 512Mb for the Parallels itself. Everytime i open windows I get a "Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low" warning. I've followed the recommendation in Windows and still get the warning. Also, it takes about 2 min. or more to launch Internet Explorer 7 beta This doesn't seem normal performance to me. Anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?

Despite the fact that this is in the wrong forum... You can't expect to have a fast VM with so little memory. If you build a XP SP2 machine with 412MB of ram it will be slow as molasses. If you have a OS X machine with 512MB of ram, it is slow as molasses. Don't get me wrong, OS X is fantastic... but it is a memory hog. it needs 1GB to run smoothly, 2GB is preferred (for me atleast. I am a demanding user, being a power user/developer.) I run XP with 1GB of ram and set the max for Parallels to use as 1024 + 128 (whatever that is,) leaving the remaining ~850MB or so for OS X. In doing so both operating systems run side-by-side very well. You simply cant starve a memory hog of an os (OS X), and run a virtual machine of another memory hog of an OS (XP) and expect to have fast performance... RAM isn't that expensive. When I bought mine I got 2x1GB sticks of Mushkin (good ram) for under $200 with 2-day shipping included
