hi! are there any rough figures available what the penalties are when running intel apps within windows for ARM?

    @ parallels team,
also curious what happened with the promise that you should be able to run a host emulator on the mac-side to support intel apps
i.e. will a parallels for win 10/11 for intel ever happen!?

running mcad software in win for ARM will not work

You can't run any Intel OS on ARM hardware as a virtual machine. Not sure where you got the idea that Parallels promised Intel support on M1. I think someone from Parallels mentioned in the forum that Parallels is experimenting with running Intel Windows (I assume as emulation), but their test results weren't good. Bad performance and high power consumption. It would be great if they could make an Intel OS run on M1 eventually, but the performance will definitely be worse than what we are used to from a VM.

I suspect they must have tried some version of QEMU.
