Parallels Desktop (8) was working fine until yesterday, now when I try to load it I get the following messages in order: windows application folder will be added to the dock. Windows application folder will be removed from the dock. Parallels cannot connect to HD1. There is no operating system for parallels. I've found the .pmv file in the Documents/Parallels side on the Mac, but when I try to launch it using Parallels I get the same message. When I try to open it using the Parallels mounter I can see the files but when I try to open them it says it can't. Can anyone help me recover these files from the .pmv? Do I need to reinstall the Windows OS, and if so is there a chance that it will be able to reopen the .pmv correctly? Thanks, David
