    Hi all -
I hope someone can help me - I have TRIED reaching out to Parallel support to no avail.
I have created a virtual desktop - and then it tells me to install an OS - and I had downloaded the XP trial and renamed it to an .iso file -- and I keep getting a message saying "No boot device available...."
I am so frustrated - I don't know how to do this and I have been at it for HOURS.
Does someone have a dummy step by step guide that they can help me with?
    Many thanks in advance
    Mel

What was the original name of the XP trial? Are you sure it's a real .iso? Can you mount it in the Finder with Disk Utility?

    Read the .pdf documentation at:
    http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/resources/documentation/

Basically, you should be able to select the .iso image for the CD/DVD device, and it should boot as long as the Boot Order is set to CD/DVD first which should be the default anyway.
