    Issue:
I have Windows XP running in Parallels on my Mac (window mode). For business purposes I must use my companies SIP phone system. I have a USB headset connected and configured to be used by the VM.
I can make calls from the softphone, but I get no audio from the headset. The other side can hear me speak, but I can't hear them. I have checked all of the settings on both the VM and the Mac and have tried 3 different softphones.
The headset works fine if it's used on the Mac?? So I know it's not a hardware issue.
I also have the same issue if I use the built in Mic and Speakers on my Mac??
All port and other configuration settings have been checked and rechecked???

    Is this a known issue??

    same problem!

It seems to be a common virtualisation problem! under vmware fusion and parallels i've got this same problem! I'm using Windows XP S3, Swyx voip softphone and a Jabra/GN Netcom USB headset 9330. Does anybody knows if Vista under Parallels supports usb headsets better??

    Andreas,

I was able to get it working by switching to Bridge Networking??? Not sure why, but that made it work.

    Thanks for your quick reply!

    Hi Ben,

I already use NETWORK - STANDARD ADAPTER (bridged). Do you use a special adapter like "Parallels Shared Networking Adapter"?

I just use the "Default Adapter-(Bridged)" and the Default Adapter selected under the Bridged Networking tab.

Okay, I have the same selection, but it don't works. My admin told me that he have had the same problem on his pc at home, when he checked our company sip phone system over vpn. so it seems to be a network problem for sure, but a more complicate one... Perhaps I have to call Parallels for more help.

Thanks for you support and greetings from the middle of germany!

    Andreas
