    Hi there,
I'm using a Macbook Pro wth MAC OSX 10.4.10
I'm trying to install Parallels and only got as far as when I had to insert the Windows XP disk. The screen then froze and the following message came up: "Please restart you computer" "Hold down the power key etc... (in various languages) .
When I restart it, there is a message saying that MAC OSX unexpectedly quit. From then on whenever I click on Parallels the screen automatically freezes and the same thing happens.
I've scoured these forums for an answer, and I have tried uninstalling and re-enstalling various times, to no avail. The only thing I can think of that I might have done wrong is the first time the screen shut down, I went into parallels and clicked "Auto Start" "ON". From then on, I could not go back in to change any settings.
I'm assuming I'm installing the first version of Parallels, because The box and the CD does not say a version number.
Can someone please help? I've spent all day trying to fix this, and I'm getting pretty upset about it. Will downloading the latest version of Parallels help?

Thanks in advance. Please be nice, this is my first time getting hep from a support forum...

Same problem here. Keep having to reset/restart computer.

Hi, I've yet to find the solution. I've tried re-installing but to no avail.

Sounds like a kernal panic. Could we get your system log, panic log, and parallels crash log?
