I am using the latest 1940 version! I am connecting through my university network, I am using Host-only networking with DHCP Scope start address, end address, and scope mask all set to be the same values as the ones I find under System Preferences/ Airport/TCP/IP. Under System Preferences/Interenet, I enable Internet sharing from Airport and avalliable to computers using Ethernet Adaptors.

Under XP OS, I click on the local area network connection (which is showing Status: Connected!!!!!), and go to the properties/ Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), I tried both Obtain an IP address automatically & also manually key in the IP address, subnet mask, and Default gateway corresponding to the DHCP Scope start address, end address, and scope mask values under OS X.

After all this, my interenet still doesnt work, even though the Local Area Connection is showing Status: Connected!!!

    SIGH.....................

    Highborn,

Please, never set network interfaces to the same address/subnet/mask unless the interfaces plug into the same physical network segment. Ever! The documentation does not instruct you to do so. There are many ways to shoot yourself in the foot and you did just that.

Maybe you could help pls serv. I've trying to get my wireless to work with the latest PW 2.2 build 2092 and it seem impossible.

Under the Bridged Parallel NIC card, I did a repair and I got an ip similar to the one on my host OS (XP Pro) but without the DNS field
    in essence:
    ip: was something 131.xx.xx.xx
    subnet: 255.xx.xx.xx
    default gateway: blank
and it says connected. receiving was zero but tx was alot, repaired it and nothing,
in my guest OS --> FC5, it keep saying 'No network devices found'
Under the Networking, I can only see the default Realtek which I do not want to use.

    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    no wireless icon in XP

even though i get a strong signal in osX, when i switch to windows i don't even see the wireless icon in "network connections" so can't even view any networks or adjust any settings.

is this happening to anyone else?

when i switched to host-sharing, i also get the message that it's "connected" but don't have internet access.

    help - i just spent a bundle on something i can't use....!
