    Hello,

I have just described a problem in detail on support pages - only to get it all lost in the last step of a very long procedure that turned me down with short "not eligible for support" message. Well... I was actually not seeking support. Just
trying to ask if a serious problem has been corrected in version 8, and / or if the developer is aware of it's very existence...

The problem in short: Parallels seems to have got Polish keyboard layout so wrong, that it is barely usable with Polish localization in Windows - definitely not for writing: "z" is under the "y" key, and Polish diacriticals are not where the "programisty" layout has them in Windows, Mac and Linux.

    Regards!

    Piotr

    Hi PiotrW,

I'm pretty sure you won't have this issue in Parallels Desktop, but you can make sure yourself before buying the upgrade:

    1. Make a backup of your current VM as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/8829
    2. Download a trial of Parallels Desktop at http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/
    3. Install it and start your Virtual Machine
    4. Wait till Parallels Tools are automatically installed
    5. Check to see if you have any keyboard issues

Once you make sure everything works fine for you, you can go ahead and purchase Parallels Desktop 8. If not - post here and I'll be happy to help.

    still not working

in the version I downloaded today every 'polish' keyboard layout had 'y' and 'z' switched (and many more serious problems but that is easiest to see for yourself).

so pick polish language and try _any_ polish keyboard to reproduce (i have a polish windows installer, hopefully that is not the cause of the problem)

(workaround for developers is to install english-u.s. and use 'plain' english keyboard)
