I have three sites now using 2x AppServer 6.2 on Windows 2008 Servers. When MAC clients - on version 7.xx - connect the lag is awful. Performance is so poor that it's simply unusable. No issues when using regular RDP and no issues from PCs. I've tried tonign down settings to virtually no colors and slow speed, nothing helps.
Re: Poor performance MAC client v7 and AppServer 6.2 on Win2 is it just the connection ? please specify correct versions of ASLB server side, and clients you are using.
Connection Of course not. 3 separate sites with 3 different infrastructures, all complaining of the same problem. In all cases runing 2x Small Business version 6.2 with LATEST Client. As I said, I have no lag with Microsoft RDP or from PCs... 2x is unusable in all 3 whether i connect to them or other users do. It's not a connection issue, it's a 2x on Windows Server 08 issue. I have Macs and PCs in my office and high speed lines, I can run them sidebyside to the same servers and see the issues - Mac client is junk. there is more...., Mac experience, we find that the 2x software in published app mode has a mind of its own. Windows come up when they are not desired. For instance, pressing delete in Outlook inbox once causes a "beep", so the user has to click on the message, push delete again, and then they cannot delete the next message until they click in the window. It basically jumps from the active window to another after one action... we saw it on PC based 2x but not as frustrating. Mac users refuse to use it on server 08. Lastly,
Hello, Could you please check reported issues with latest 2X Client for Mac version 7.3.720 http://www.2x.com/downloads/AppServer-LoadBalancer/betaversion/2XClient.dmg?
Still sucks. I have to go to 256 colors to make it descent. Again, I have two domains with two different 2x servers. One is 08 one is 03. The 03s are fast, 08 suck. Same is true for customer sites. I have 3 customers with 2x on 2008 and a couple on 2x on 2003.... same symptoms. The Mac is iMac from 09 with Snow Leopard. Customers reporting same symptoms on Mac OS X 10.5.
Tried with latest build of 8.0 server and client. Still same... performance sucks on Windows 2008 server based 2x, but fine on 2003.
