Hi Folks, I've tried the 2x ApplicationServer trial and so far so good (although I can't see *many* differences than just using RemoteApp) but I was wondering one thing... On initial connection to an application, it boots up a full screen RDP session for loading the user profile... is there any way to hide this? It's hidden by default with RemoteApp. Cheers, Peter.
Yes there is a timeout which if reached and the application is still not started the full desktop is shown. This is so as in some instances like if windows is not activated the published application is not started until you click a few other windows. 1. Use 2X Client and connection on Connection Properties 2. Select Advanced Settings tab 3. Click on the Advanced connection settings button 4. change the "show desktop if published app is not started within.." cheers
In my case I'm trying to do the opposite - force the desktop to always display so users know something is happening and don't double click the app icon 10 times. I tried to lower the "show desktop if pub app does not start" to 1 sec but it errors with "please enter an integer from 5 to 999". Is there no way to set this value such that the desktop always displays? Or maybe there's a completely different way to deal with the problem of impatient users who are click crazy? Trouble is the end up logging in with multiple sessions. Thanks Mark
No the minimum time is set to 5 seconds, however please contact sales and file in a feature request. I dont see a problem to decrease the minimum time to 1 second, given that there is a sale. cheers
