Prevent Virtual Machine from accessing network volumes and connected USB drives?

Is it possible to prevent the virtual machine from seeing my connected network servers and connected (USB) drives?

I would like the virtual machine to have absolutely no access data on my Mac, my connected drives or connected servers. I don't want this to affect the virtual machine connecting to the internet (which it does just fine).

Disable SmartMount:

You might also wish to disable Shared Folders:
http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v4/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/22694.htm

That should be sufficient and won't affect the network connectivity.
