I have one of those can't get past the gray Apple logo screen startup problems. I can boot ok from an external drive, and I can see all files on the internal drive. Disk Utility and TechTool are both happy with everything to do with my drive. I've checked out other ideas such as the existance of an Installtion folder in my System, etc, to no avail. I started in single uer mode so I could watch what is happening, and the two lines that show up before the infinite wait are these ones: [Parallels] Parallels Workstation Hypercisor started. [Parallels] Parallels VM observer thread started How would I disable those, and is that the right thing to try next?
