Printer error message

    I am getting an error message that says"USB device you are trying to connect to the virtual machine is being used by another application. Close that app or unplug the device and plug it in again. Then try to connect the device again."
    I have never gotten this message and unplugging the printer and plugging it in does nothing. Any ideas?
