Hello Everyone, I am a public school tech. coord. I have installed Parallels for Mac on an entry level Intel iMac and upgraded the RAM to 2 GB. I have updated Parallels to Build 1970, and boosted the RAM allotted to Windows to 772 (I think, I went into the memory section on the main Parallels page). My installation of Parallels went smoothly and all is working, but I have one little minor issue. When I flip over to Windows XP through Parallels I have to turn my HP Laserjet 4100 printer off and then on again in order for Windows XP to see it. Is there any way to fix this? It is connected with a USB cable into a card in the printer. **Note: This issue happened a few days later and is now my major concern... Also, has anyone had Windows XP crash when you try to print a large print job. My business secretary runs DataTeam's FundAccounting2 software and when she tries to print reports, Windows XP will crash and reboot. Any ideas? Thank you for any help.
I recommend that you install Bonjour for Windows in your XP VM. Then you can use your printer as a network printer which is attached to your MAC. Be sure to enable printer sharing on the MAC.
