    What's that? It happens when trying to start Parallels (which then doesn't start). Often rebooting mac os x helps. I suppose some permission turned bad on some Parallels files. Though uninstalling / re-installing didn't help (problem came back today).

    What should I check?
    What permissions should I check on which files?

    So I had a look at:
    /tmp/{8d636a15-9ef4-420f-9e15-5c8ab1494867}

    That file existed and there were a dozen of those (size 0 bytes). I deleted them.

    Parallels Desktop now starts without issue.
