afer deploying the agent from client GW to a working TS2003 the service on the TS2003 will not start. and in the event log i get the following message: "The description for Event ID ( 5000 ) in Source ( ApplicationServer ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: [04/00000005] 2X Terminal Server Agent: Failed to initialize performace layer" When trying to install the application (client GW and all) i still get the same error message. The TS2003 is a production server used by users for access from outside the organization. No problems running the agent on other TS2003 servers in same farm. Appreciate your help,
Hi there, Usually this occurs when performance counters on the machine get corrupted. (3rd party applications may add incorrect settings to it and ends up corrupted). 2X supplies a tool when installing the console called "2XPerfRepair".
