Problem Booting from Hard Drive

When I run parallels it downloads fine. Then when I put the Windows XP disk in to install it completes the download. Then it reboots, when it gets to "boot from hard drive" it freezes there. Previously when it got to that point it would say "... failed" and proceed to "booting from CD/DVD and continue.

Any suggestions would be very helpful, I need parallels for programs that are .exe files for my job. Thank You.
