Problem Caused When Trying to Compress Disk

    Running the latest build of P9. Tried to compress the VM HDD and when VM tried to restart I got this:

    "Ctrl-Alt-Delete" didn't work.

    I then ran Disk Utility to verify the Mac HD and got this:

    Note that the File Count and Directory Count are each off by 1 from what they should be. Does this have anything to do with the compression routine? It seems unlikely that the HD in the Mac is corrupted, since it was installed new about eight weeks ago. The Mac side of the computer appears to be working just fine.

    Is there a relatively easy way to fix this problem? The computer won't boot off the original OS X install disc. I need Windows to run some mission-critical business software. Thanks.
