I've just installed Parallels Desktop 4.0 on a new MacBook to run Cisco Packet Tracer (PT) 5.1 simulations in a Win2000 VM. I can access and run the simulation files off the CD through the Flash Player interface (in Windows) with no problems. Similarly, I can use IE 6 in Windows to open and run the files directly from the Cisco website.

HOWEVER, once I save my files to my shared Documents folder, I can no longer open them. When I double-click on a simulation file through the Finder it runs the Win2000 VM, runs the PT program, but doesn't load the file. Double-clicking the file in Windows Explorer doesn't work either. This same behaviour also occurs when I download a simulation file from the Cisco site using Safari and try to run it. Does anyone know what is causing this problem and how to fix it? Could it somehow be related to a file association issue with Parallels?

(I've pretty well ruled out a problem with PT itself or corrupted simulation files because they successfully open on my desktop PC running Win2000.)
