Problem with preferred view at launch of P6

I have the latest version of P6 installed. In the configuration for my XP VM it says to start in a window instead of whatever mode it was at last quit or in coherence. When I start P6 by clicking it's icon it does what it's supposed to do, launches XP in a window. When I click the Dock icon for IE it opens Parallels in Coherence mode showing just the IE browser window.

What I want is to be able to click the IE icon, launching Parallels in a window and loading an IE6 browser window. Is this possible?
