Starting point: Running Parallels 9 with Win 8.1 on a retina MacBook Pro (2880 pixel) running 10.9 (Mavericks) -- no problems with this. If I connect the MBP to my external BenQ 24" 1900 pixel monitor, and then move the already-running Parallels/Win 8.1 application to the space on the external monitor, Parallels automatically resizes (as it should) -- but the problem is that the resized WIn 8.1 is a very high resolution environment, with ultra-tiny desktop icons, nearly unusable Word toolbars, etc. If I shut down and restart Win 8.1 within the Parallels envoironment on the external monitor (i.e., without also shutting down Parallels), the Win 8.1 desktop resolution comes up exactly as it should be (i.e, corresponding to how it looked when on the rMBP screen before the external monitor was added). Any idea why Parallels is not resizing Win 8.1 properly when it is first moved to the space on the external monitor? Thanks, Mark
Hello! Please open any program (Word, e.g.), generate two Problem Reports: 1) First - while Parallels window lies on MBP display. 2) Second - after moving Parallels window to external display while "WIn 8.1 is a very high resolution environment, with ultra-tiny desktop icons, nearly unusable Word toolbars, etc" and post their ID here.
