i did an upgrade on my parallels desktop and lost ALL connection to the internet. This was not only on my VDS's but also my main OS - my OS began inventig IP's rendering it incapable of connecting to the internet. The apple genius' (literally at the genius bar) have confirmed that it was parallels that caused this. I am going back in time to the original copy i purchased that didnt cause this problem - so beware if your upgrading. I would beinterested if anyone could help me solve why this happened if any more techy people out there have any idea (i am using shared networking which i was told was the least intrusive). thanks all, and apart from this trouble I would say that it is a FANTASTIC and revolutionarry product, and the support is fantastic.
internet connection problem please chose a more informative title for your posts next time I had a lot of MacBook Pro (17") connection problems the machine likes best to be hard wired on a LAN ethernet which in my case has an old 5 port switch and then a mini-router onto the plain old telephone line through a filter DSL at up to 8 mbs with Talktalk UK then the Mac and Parallels just work with the defaults please define both your OS and Parallels versions. enjoy Hugh W
