Yesterday I had to restart my computer, and I wasnt able to shut down parallels normally. The whole ordeal ended with me holding down my Macbook Pro's power button and forcing a restart. When I was going to run windows again today I get to the following screen before windows restarts: This happens over and over. Safe mode works fine, but In trying to run windows normally I am not able to get past this screen. Need urgent help, as I am using it for work purposes. Thanks.
Looks like it's likely a driver issue: http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm Click on "BE" on the right-hand side of the page for more info and links to diagnosis utilities. This would also explain why you don't see it in SAFE MODE -- it's probably some driver that isn't loaded in safe mode, but is during a full boot. Good luck.
I did not install any drivers, software or hardware at all. The only thing that happened was the forced power-off when parallels got stuck when I tried to do a normal restart.
quick update: i just tried system restore in safe mode, and rolled it back to the day before this happened. Still getting the same problem though
Ok. I found same problem on forum http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=16054. I think it is a memory problem. Try to find an appropriate memory size for you. I do not think that it is a cdrom problem. Waiting for results.
