Problems installing 2XClient v6.0.146

Hi guys, had a user receive the update notification and downloaded the v6.0.146 update to the 2x client. Except it won't install. Just sits there after the splash screen with a greyed out next button, then nothing happens..

okies. we've tried:
x) do a complete uninstall of the client
x) delete anything in 'c:\Program Files\2X'
x) in Regedit, delete the HKLM\Software\2x key
x) in Regedit, delete the HCU\Software\2x key
x) restart the PC
x) Install the software again

..but still no go, same problem.

The same client installs no worries on other PC's here, but not this particular one. I would like to avoid having to nuke his machine as we windozers tend to do...

Any ideas?

Close anyother running applications first, then retry installing the client.

What OS is the client running on??

I'm having the same problem and I've tried the same fixes with no luck. I'm running XP Pro.
