Trying to install JAWS 11 onto Parallels 5 running XP Pro XP3. Installer asks me to reboot, upon doing so it never makes it back to windows, just hangs during the boot immediately after the loading screen. The only way to get back into windows is to rollback to a restore point before the installation. I believe it may have to do with the Video Intercept issue (briefly discussed in this article and further in the comments: http://webaim.org/blog/screenreaders_on_mac/ ). I downloaded just the video intercept installer separately from the JAWS installer and it caused the same problems. Wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and how they got around it.
I know my reply comes late but I just run into the same issue. I could not make JAWS running but I could get my virtual machine back to life as it was running into a blue screen after the installation. - boot in safemode with network - copy safemsi.exe onto your vm - run safemsi.exe now you can uninstall everything concerning JAWS of whatever you want to uninstall. Reboot the machine, all set! Safemsi is freeware
