problems with Suspend

What is the correct procedure to follow when a "Suspend" operation hangs?

This happens about 30% of the time when I am running Ubisoft's "Silent Hunter 4" and need to free up memory for another application. I usually end up having to Quit Parallels, even though Windows XP has not been closed down. Two or three times, this has resulted in disk problems with the .hdd file.

 

First please check that you have disk space at least 3* memory size for VM
And build is 3810

 

These criteria seem to be OK.
Build is 4.0.3810, and I have about 225G of free disk space.

 

Please try to repair permissions
and reinstall parallels Desktop
If problem is still there please create ticket in support

One important note:
Please check in /Applications/Utilities/Console
that you do not have disk error messages, it means Mac OS disk corrupted, and this may be the case
