I have problems with Windows XP in Parallels 6. I need to connect to at verification server at campus to obtain a licence for a program I'm using. The only method to do this so far is by connecting to a cable LAN on campus and use "Bridged network" via ethernet. I'm trying to get this to work via WiFi with VPN as well - but there are problems: 1. The wireless network card (AirPort) shows up in Windows XP as an ethernet connection when making a bridge. 2. The wireless network at campus uses an 802.1-x verification, why I have to provide the login credentials in Windows XP to be able to make the WiFi bridge. Problem 1 is causing problem 2 as you might figure out, since I have no possibility to define 802.1-x credentials for an ethernet connection. The only possibility for using the WiFi is by using "Shared network", but unfortunately this method will not allow a connection to the verification server - neither with ethernet or wifi. So the question is simple: How do I make the AirPort show up as a wireless network in Windows XP inside the virtual machine? I'm on a MacBook Pro with Lion 10.7.1.
