I'd like to continue this discussion here as it is still quirky in build 5582.

Today, I booted up my Windows XP virtual machine from a shut down (not suspended) state. I have two Windows drives, C and E. C is my boot/system drive and E is just an extra drive I use for the Window disk cache.

When it first came up, C was classified under "CDs, DVDs and iPods" and E under "External disks". In Finder's preferences, under General, you can control which items are shown on the desktop. Only E was on my desktop as I only show "External disks"

I've been using Windows all day, no crashes, no reboot... (although I did force restart Finder) and now I've noticed that both C and E are on my desktop. Now, both C and E are classified under "External disks" (they both show up or disappear from my desktop based on the "External disks" check box).

Seeing that I did restart Finder, I'm wondering if this is a Finder/MacFUSE problem and Parallels is just the victim here... or could this be a Parallels issue?

    Anyone else having similar problems?
