I'm running Ubuntu 13.04 raring and trying to use all my displays in Linux. This works, except that the displays show up as one ultra-wide display in Linux. This sucks because it basically removes all multi-monitor support in my guest OS. Is there any way to get proper multiple displays working in Linux? I know VMWare Fusion supports this. If not, is there a way to work around the problem and somehow get Linux to treat the display as multiple monitors?
I'm having the same problem, were you able to find a resolution for this? PD9 would be an instant purchase from me, but this is a total dealbreaker.
Unfortunately not, the closest thing to a workaround I can find is to simulate two screens using Xephyr and Xdmx as in the method described here: http://iain.cx/articles/xinerama/index.html?part1 However, I'm not able to get most text rendering (anything rendered with cairo or pango just doesn't show up in that environment.) I describe the problem here: http://superuser.com/questions/674196/pango-fonts-not-working-in-xdmx
I agree however.. this is a dealbreaker. Parallels really needs proper multi-display support for linux.
Did this ever get resolved in later versions of Parallels? I am having issues with Fusion and contemplating switching to Parallels but the last time I tried it I wasn't able to have multiple displays in Ubuntu. I am struggling to find a definitive answer of whether newer versions of Parallels have fixed this or not.
