The mac 2X client sees all my published apps apart from my published desktop - is this supposed to happen or is there a fix ?
I just completed our first fully licensed Thin Client and Application server deployment. I have connected via VPN or open across the web using my Mac, (OS X 10.5.1), using two methods. 1) Using the Mac Client. 2) Using a virtual thin client boot in VMware Fusion Version 1.1. I installed a virtual thin client from the 2X ISO. I am running the thin client 1024x768. I had the issue you had at one point and it was because I had installed both products incorrectly. A big THANK YOU to John in 2X tech support helping me correct this!!!! I found I was not understanding the published apps settings in the web setup. There should only be 1 entry for each server providing apps. I had one for each published app <- wrong! I don't know if this is your issue but thought I would share my mistake as I actually read the docs and missed this. Dumb me :-( The correction was to remove them, manually clean the 2X out of the registry and delete the 2X directorys on (2) 2003 servers then reinstall from scratch. Both work flawless now !!! I am IMPRESSED with 2X and WILL be doing a lot more deployments!!! You should see me BLOW AWAY people running Win apps on my Mac desktop. I like it better than VMware! However, it IS fantastic running a thin client in VMware on my Mac for remote testing and troubleshooting. 2X is Great!!!!!!!!
